2024 Post Processor Version Update Summary
All users currently in support have received updates to their existing post processors. In addition to many customizations and specific bug fixes, the following is a general outline of new feature options and improvements.

General Post Items
- Added support for B&R controller (i.e. Onsrud CNC).
- Added support for WinCNC controller.
- Cabinet Vision Post support added.

New Configuration Options
- Enhanced Code Readability feature (currently Fanuc 3-4 axes controllers only).
- Enabling will add explanation text to the end of individual code lines.
- Can assist less experienced operators or when training new operators.
- Material Z shift option. Allows switching Z0 (i.e. table surface or top of material as needed by program).
- New Extra Cost Options
- 90° saw aggregate support.
- 90° Quattro aggregate support.
- Enhanced drill block control.
- Call individual drills by drill tool number using standard AlphaCAM drilling operations (not Multi-Drill).
- Improved notation capability from Programmer to Operator in header of .anc file.
- Expanded dialog space for writing notes.
- Note is retained within the AlphaCAM drawing.
- Program Operations
- Safety block enhancement for 4 axes posts. Provides 4th axis rotation back to home position.
- Safety improvement. Addition of tool change at beginning of each sheet in multi-sheet programs.
- Safety improvement. Stops spindle at every program pause (AlphaCAM Stop feature).
- Efficiency improvement. Combined dropping head down simultaneous with first rapid after tool change (when supported by machine).
- Bug fix for some issues with clearance height between horizontal drilling operations.
- Bug fix for some issues with tool cutter compensation in G18/19 work planes.
- Bug fix to warn user tool compensation cannot be cancelled on an arc lead-out.
- Bug fix for error with arc move values on work plane parallel to flat land but with XY axes rotated.
- Enhanced support for vertical drilling options. Can now support all AlphaCAM pecking options (i.e. Partial Retract, Both (Full and Partial) Retract, etc.).
- Five Axis Specific
- Safety improvement. Enhanced method exiting tilted work planes at tool change and end of program.
